America's Awakening

For the first time in my life the majority of people believe the Government has done something unconstitutional. Thanks for finally noticing, they have been doing it from the start. In a country where people believe the constitution granted them rights, it amazes me they have not used the only rights they have always had. The right to vote has been around since the signing of the constitution except for women 1920. This country only has at best a 50 % voter turnout. That is your fault America, shame on you. The other right which i think has been the only true right you have ever had is the right to remain silent.I guess voters have used it.the other half of the world that should use it doesn't. Remember people that this your Government , take it back by exercising your right to vote. If it is suppose to be for the will of the people then vote your senator or representative out of office when you disagree with their votes. If i was you and was from a state that my two senators voted for a bill that the majority of people was against i would vote them out. In closing i remind you of what Jesus told the people "give to Caesar what is his and to God what is his." God can't be voted out Caesar can!

People I Have Admired

1. Roberto Clemente- Born on the same day as yours truly thirty years earlier. He was my favorite player as a child growing up. Though he passed on when i was 7, i still remember what a great player he was. He could do it all run, throw, hit and hit with power. It turned out that Roberto was a greater human being than player. he gave his life for other people.

2. Dale Earnhardt - Many people know Dale as the hard headed tough driver he was. I look at what he done outside the track. He was what God calls a cheerful giver. He gave money and done things as the Bible tells you to. Don't let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. One instance that came out after his death was, he saw a local school having a fundraiser to blacktop their parking lot. Dale stopped and asked what they were raising money for and the people involved told him. He said i'll pay for the whole thing on one condition, if you tell anyone i did this i'll have my workers come bulldoze in in if you do.

3. Ronald Reagan- Probably the single most important President of my lifetime. Ronnnie had a vision of America as a shinning city on a hill. America never apologized for being great. He had a pride in this country like few have today. You may not agree with everything he did or said , but you have to agree America was a proud nation under him.

4.Billy Graham- We may never have a more well rounded ambassador for God than Billy. I couldn't imagine how many people have come to Christ because they heard him speak. I was lucky enough to see him in person in Kansas City on his last crusade. I was dumbfounded not by Arrowhead Stadium being full but i would say at least 60% of the people were younger than myself. many of them in their teens. These people had probably never seen him when he was on T.V. in the 60's and 70's. It just goes to show the power of his speaking that all those people would go listen to him. I'll never forget what he said that day. " your lucky i'm old and can't speak very long or we would be here for several hours." Even in old age and illness his spirit was still willing to preach the Good News.

St. Patrick's Day

Today being the supposed day St. Patrick died is more than a day for everyone to be Irish. St. Patrick himself was not Irish he was born in England. Kidnapped by pirates and enslaved he escaped and walked through out Ireland some say 400 miles to find a boat ride home. He was believed to be only about 16 at this time. He said God spoke to him to return to Ireland and preach his word. It has been said that St. Patrick baptized 300,000 people in Ireland a country with no belief in Christ at all. The silly tale of him driving the snakes from the country is ridiculous. There has never been any snakes in Ireland. So if you choose raise a pint today to a man that truly lived Christ's mission. In a country he was not from .

Forgiveness

Tiger Woods announced today he will return to golf at The Masters. This prompted me to write today about forgiveness. I believe this is one of God's most important commandments. Though it's not one of the Ten , it is what being a Christian is really about. Jesus stated he came to earth to serve not be served. He is the one who will judge all, we are here to serve the lost and forgive them of their trespasses. We all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God. Let yesterday pass and forgive those who have done you wrong and relieve yourself of that anger. Don Henley wrote a song called The Heart of the Matter. He said i think it's about forgiveness even if you don't love me anymore. That you better let go of all that anger or it will eat you up inside. In closing remember Jesus died for your sins even before you were born, so the least you can do is follow in his footsteps.

The Prayer of St. Patrick

I bind to myself today
The strong virtue of the Invocation of the Trinity:
I believe the Trinity in the Unity
The Creator of the Universe.

I bind to myself today
The virtue of the Incarnation of Christ with His Baptism,
The virtue of His crucifixion with His burial,
The virtue of His Resurrection with His Ascension,
The virtue of His coming on the Judgement Day.

I bind to myself today
The virtue of the love of seraphim,
In the obedience of angels,
In the hope of resurrection unto reward,
In prayers of Patriarchs,
In predictions of Prophets,
In preaching of Apostles,
In faith of Confessors,
In purity of holy Virgins,
In deeds of righteous men.

I bind to myself today
The power of Heaven,
The light of the sun,
The brightness of the moon,
The splendour of fire,
The flashing of lightning,
The swiftness of wind,
The depth of sea,
The stability of earth,
The compactness of rocks.

I bind to myself today
God's Power to guide me,
God's Might to uphold me,
God's Wisdom to teach me,
God's Eye to watch over me,
God's Ear to hear me,
God's Word to give me speech,
God's Hand to guide me,
God's Way to lie before me,
God's Shield to shelter me,
God's Host to secure me,
Against the snares of demons,
Against the seductions of vices,
Against the lusts of nature,
Against everyone who meditates injury to me,
Whether far or near,
Whether few or with many.

I invoke today all these virtues
Against every hostile merciless power
Which may assail my body and my soul,
Against the incantations of false prophets,
Against the black laws of heathenism,
Against the false laws of heresy,
Against the deceits of idolatry,
Against the spells of women, and smiths, and druids,
Against every knowledge that binds the soul of man.

Christ, protect me today
Against every poison, against burning,
Against drowning, against death-wound,
That I may receive abundant reward.

Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ at my right, Christ at my left,
Christ in the fort,
Christ in the chariot seat,
Christ in the poop [deck],
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

I bind to myself today
The strong virtue of an invocation of the Trinity,
I believe the Trinity in the Unity
The Creator of the Universe.

10 People that screwed up America

1. Franklin Roosevelt- The father of liberals. So many of his government programs are still in use today. Was known to set the gold price by his lucky number or the way he felt. Signed the telecommunications act which ended your private phone calls as you thought, we never had.

2. Madeline Murray OHare The mother Anti - Christ. Sued the school system in 1963 to have the school prayer taken out, virtually eliminating God from school.

3. Christopher Columbus - He never discovered America and we have a Holiday in his name. Murdered many Native Americans and pillaged the land and people.

4. Ted Kennedy- The Liberal Lion, enough said.

5. Norma L. Mc Corvey , Linda Coffee, Sara Weddington - The first is the lady who lied and claimed rape and sued to have an abortion. The next two are her co- conspiring Lawyers.

8.The O.J. Simpson Jury- Proved two things, a jury is 12 people who decide who has the best lawyer and that it's a court of law not justice.

9. Bill Clinton- The only reason Osama Bin Laden is still alive today. Check the video on Youtube and you'll see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuH1xwLUnbg

10. The Beatles- This was a great country until these free love dope addicts came to America. Just listen to their music.

Introduction

I am starting this blog to express my opinions on various subjects. I have many things to say and want to share my thoughts with those who agree and disagree. If it helps someone just to see another viewpoint , then it's successful.
