America

Tomorrow is a day everyone should participate in. Election's are one of the last Bastien's we have to speak our voice. Instead of complaining and or not voting, get out and vote. The voter turnout in this country is terrible at best. I don't care who you vote for, but if you do not vote you are giving up your right to speak. Every vote counts. Look at Alaska and other small states it doesn't take to many votes to insure a win. Take back America by voting your conscience, it's a start to having a say in how the Government runs. Vote out tired old incumbents that have made a fortune off your vote. They are elected to represent the people not become loaded like most incumbents have. There is no way they vote for you, only to the interests that have made them wealthy. Candidates will get nervous if incumbents are no longer the standard!

Friday Night Fire

Just a little story of friends. Our little neighborhood commune is a great place to hangout. I am fortunate enough to have wonderful neighbors who actually Love thy Neighbor. A few years back we all put in a community fire pit using the labor of our servant children. We have what we call Friday night Fire. In the fall we gather around and listen to the QND football game and enjoy adult libations. We have discussed and solved all the World's issues. It is really that easy, if the World leaders had the same access to all the brain power we put out the World would be a better place. There is nothing like the glow and warmth of a real fire to bring out your best. People look prettier and more handsome in the flicker of flames. So i suggest everyone build them a nice pit and realize the warmth of kith and kin.

The World is getting dumber!

People are so out of touch today thanks to technology. People can't spell due to spell check. Writing has gone the way of the computer and you don't have to no how the computer does it for you. Texting has brought a whole bunch of bad spellers. The people that are running for office or hold one are even dumber. One representative believed Guam would tip over if we put more troops there. " I don't care about the Constitution Phil Hare. Mayor John Spring said he didn't know what Political Crony-ism was! People need to exercise their right to vote! People that say idiotic statements like these need to go bye- bye. You know when you say something stupid around your friends you get blasted or laughed at. VOTE ALL INCUMBENTS OUT!

The U.S. Supreme Court

This is the day i have feared since the election of President Obama. Appointments to the Court. His presidency will come and go, his bills and actions can be overturned and mended, but his selections to the Court are forever. The Supreme Court was set up to make sure disputes on Law were settled for all. They were never suppose to set precedent or make law. Today with our progressive attitude, people look for the court to rewrite history and law. The Constitution stands on it's own two feet, it doesn't need to be changed. Please follow the Kagan conformation process and educate yourself on why you cannot put idealist like her on the court. It's forever!

The Journey's Beginning

For about the last month i have had the honor to assist my dear friends Paul and Heidi Morrison in taking care of Heidi's Father. Roderick P. Miller was born June 1928. He followed in his fathers footsteps in running Roderick P. Miller womans clothing store in Quincy. Rod passed on to heaven Friday night with his family beside him. This was a man i never heard complain of any pain in all the years i knew him. This is a man that already had one operation on his brain, a stomach operation on a leaking intestine that according to him never hurt. I have come to learn that Rod passed away a mere ten feet from where his father died in August 1969. You see Rod had lived in the same home since 1935. Rod and Kathy Yates Miller were married nearly 58 years that is 13 years longer than i have been alive. The point of this memo is a lesson i have learned about about the end of life. Rod got to stay at home with his family and friends. he got to see his last Masters, while we rooted hard for the old guy Fred Couples. I admired Rod, who was a rabid baseball fan, though a Cub fan. I still considered him my well to got to for retrospect on the Golden Era of baseball. We did both agree Willie Mays is the greatest of all - time. I'll miss my friend and fashion consultant, especially jealous that he is home with the Lord and i'm stuck here again to see the Cubs suffer, which i enjoy. Most of all i'm happy he got to go out like Frank Sinatra, he did it his way. I'' see you sooner or later Rod, keep a seat warm for me in the bleachers and tell my other hero Mr. Clemente his first baseman is home.

America's Awakening

For the first time in my life the majority of people believe the Government has done something unconstitutional. Thanks for finally noticing, they have been doing it from the start. In a country where people believe the constitution granted them rights, it amazes me they have not used the only rights they have always had. The right to vote has been around since the signing of the constitution except for women 1920. This country only has at best a 50 % voter turnout. That is your fault America, shame on you. The other right which i think has been the only true right you have ever had is the right to remain silent.I guess voters have used it.the other half of the world that should use it doesn't. Remember people that this your Government , take it back by exercising your right to vote. If it is suppose to be for the will of the people then vote your senator or representative out of office when you disagree with their votes. If i was you and was from a state that my two senators voted for a bill that the majority of people was against i would vote them out. In closing i remind you of what Jesus told the people "give to Caesar what is his and to God what is his." God can't be voted out Caesar can!
